Dear Friends,
It's August 14, and we're nearly halfway through our "Mindful Consumption"
month. When Fred spoke on this topic in Tampa there was considerable
interest from the sangha about participating. There was a very positive
response from members in our other sanghas, as well, with many people
indicating that they felt they could benefit from looking more deeply at
their consumption habits.
Wes Cowley set up a forum for discussion of our
progress(http://forum.floridamindfulness.org/, or visit our website at
www.floridamindfulness.org and click on "forum" on the left-hand side of
the screen). We've had a very small group of enthusiastic posters, but
would love to hear from more of you regarding your ideas/issues/
inspirations. What commitments have you made for this month? Have you
changed specific habits? Any surprises as you've looked more deeply into
your consumption? Have you identified particular areas where you'd like to
consume MORE or in a different manner to better nourish yourself? Please
visit the forum to share your thoughts and experiences and to support your
fellow sangha friends.
With metta,
Angie and the Board of the Florida Community of Mindfulness
