----------

The New Smyrna Beach mindfulness meditation sangha is hosting a Day of
Mindfulness in New Smyrna Beach on Sunday, November 11, 2007 from 9-4
(check-in at 8:30AM) with Fred Eppsteiner, dharma teacher of the Florida
Community of Mindfulness. Fred has been trained by Thich Nhat Hanh and
teaches in that tradition.

Fred's teachings are offered in the Buddhist tradition of Dana. wherein
the teacher gives freely of himself to his students out of gratitude of
what he has received from his teachers and a desire to be of service. The
student's response is also based on Dana, i.e. generosity that naturally
flows from a sense of appreciation of the value of Dharma and gratitude to
the living lineage.

Therefore there will be no set registration fee (out facilities come to us
with no charge), but an expectation that each participant will respond to
Fred's time and service as our teacher by generously contributing to Dana
as noted above.

There is room for only 24 participants. The NSB sangha needs 12 spaces,
leaving room for 12 more.

Please contact Cheri Erdman at abundia22 at yahoo.com to register. She will
need your name, email address and phone number. Specific instructions
regarding the day (lunch, directions etc) will be sent closer to the
event.
