Dear Friends,
Attached is our schedule for the first quarter of 2007. I think we'll all
enjoy the events that are planned for the quarter. Please note the
following additional upcoming events:
February 9, 10, & 11 - Dr. Marshall Rosenberg will lead a seminar on
Nonviolent Communication in Sarasota. (See information below.)
February 24 - Fred Eppsteiner will lead a workshop on "The Miracle of
Mindfulness."
Our quarterly Day of Mindfulness with Fred will be held at the Kings' farm
on Saturday, March 10 (I highlight Saturday since we frequently meet on
Sundays, so please note date). Please email me at parrish26 at gmail.com to
register for the Day of Mindfulness.
I look forward to seeing you at Sangha!
Angie

"Marshall Rosenberg provides us with the most effective tools to foster
health and relationships. Nonviolent Communication connects soul to soul,
creating a lot of healing. It is the missing element in what we do."
- Deepak Chopra, author, How to Know God and Ageless Body and Timeless
Mind

"Nonviolent Communication is a powerful tool for peace and partnership. It
shows us how to listen empathically and also communicate our authentic
feelings and needs. Marshall Rosenberg has a genius for developing and
teaching practical skills urgently needed for a less violent, more caring
world." - Riane Eisler, author, The Chalice and the Blade, Tomorrow's
Children and The Power of Partnership

WHAT IS NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION?
Both a concrete road map of communication skills and a spiritual practice,
NVC helps us see our common humanity and live more peacefully. It is an
effective, transformative, and learnable process for creating fulfilling
relationships, emotional freedom, self-acceptance, and inner and outer
peace.

NVC helps people to:
* speak in a way that inspires compassion & understanding
* initiate difficult conversations with more ease & confidence
* remain centered & peaceful while hearing difficult messages
* express anger fully, safely and respectfully - yet powerfully
* shift patterns of thinking that lead to depression, guilt, shame
* enliven yourself by expressing and receiving gratitude
* translate criticism, judgments and blame into life-serving messages
* resolve long-standing conflicts and heal painful relationships
* inspire others to change their behavior willingly
